Nsd is back with its annual theatre festival. Don't miss the classic mix of old and new productions. Nsd's very own repetary company brings you the classic plays in their own adaptations which every enthusiast will love.

- Virasat  - 20 to 27 May 2013 
a play about the breakdown of a family of farmers in Vidarbha between the '50s and '80s. This is a prophetic play, specially because we are all concerned about the farmer suicides in Vidarbha. 
- Hamara Shahar Us Baras - 28 to 30 May 20113
The play sensitively captures the escalating unrest in the background and its reflection upon the dynamics in the central household. Minorities are more or less portrayed as the victim at the centre while the majority is divided into three groups, defenders, attackers, and the silent. Conflicting voices of these sections of the society come across loud and clear through the course of the play.
- Comrade Kumbhkarna - 31 May to 2 June 2013
Comic story of a man obsessed with playing the role of Khumbhakran in Ramayana.
- Nautanki - Laila Manju  3 to 5 June 2013
A musical in typical Indian Nautanki style. Romantic story told in total filmi style. 

- Aadamzaad + Panchlight - 6 to 8 June 2013
The first story Aadamzaad depicts the different colours of human life. It shows the greedy and cruelest face of man. The main character revolts against his traditional profession of a thug and becomes a full-on dacoit. His greed increases eventually. The story takes a humorous look at a small community of a village. Both the stories, with the elements of tragedy and comedy, are presented with melodious music of Rajasthan and Bihar.
- Begum Ka Takia  9 to 11 June 2013
An adaptation of the original play in 1977 by Pandit Anand Kumar, the play is the tale of two brothers who share the same blood, the same bread and the same roof. But wealth and women create a chasm between them.

- Dafa - 292 - 12 to 14 June 2013
Based on the letters, diaries, works and life of Sadat Hasan Manto, the play weaves together a tapestry that allows insights into Manto the artist, the creator, the rebel and the Man.It does not seek to provide any answers to questions that may be raised about him, but attempts only to present certain aspects about him that might help in better understanding and appreciating the phenomenon he was.
- Jaat hi Poochho Sadhu Ki - 15 to 17 June 2013
Mahipat, the protagonist, narrates a hilarious account of his life.The play portrays the realities of unemployment in India.He is threatened all his choildhood to lose his job due his caste. The focus is the struggle to live, to which the caste system prevalent in Indian society adds an interesting angle. Watch the play to hear his views on casteism.

- Chekhov Ki Duniya - 18 to 20 June 2013
A collection of six short stories by Chekhov dealing with emotions in relationships running the gamut of trite power plays, sublime love, the commonplace everyday to exceptional circumstances, from the abyss of poverty to the idle games of the rich.
Tickets will be available at Nsd From 18 May oneards 11 AM - 1 PM & 2 PM - 4 PM
